How to Cure Loneliness and Why It Matters

We have the silent, lethal epidemic of LONELINESS amongst us.
Here’s the thing:
❌ Promotion to C-Suite won’t cut it
❌ Not multiple six-figure income
❌ Nor extended time away from office politics…
(Ask me how I know)
If you’re not having in-the-flesh, genuine joy-inducing HUMAN connection in your life, you risk not only inflammation, a tax on your immune system…
But you risk burnout, tapping out of your career mojo, and not being able to access your brilliant, on-the-feet-thinking negotiating brain 🧠
Are you not having fun?
Are you lonely? Do you spend way too much time glued to screens and chatting up ChatGPT, not a real pal?
(I know I ain’t the only one)
If this is you, here’s the prescription 💊
✅ Step away from social media, screens, and emails… I know that’s a big ask for us addicts, so start small. Start for 2 hours a day.
✅ Find a community - IRL - who share a common interest with you. Dog grooming, medieval 🏰 history, or in my case Brazilian zouk.
✅ Move your body, groove to a new rhythm. 🕺💃 Do these steps at least once a week, if not every other day.
Here’s what I’ll promise you🌟
- Boosted productivity
- Improved sleep
- More ideas flooding your brain than before
- Better leadership presence
Remember, your work, your career, your work…. At the end of the day, they ain’t your best friend. 🙅♂️
Nothing ever replaces IRL human connection.
