Look inside my home office: Lemme introduce myself

Are you new around these neck of the woods? Lemme introduce myself.

I'm a transplant from South Korea and a naturalized New Yorker for 19 years and counting.

A career and executive coach for women.

Someone learning to navigate the perimenopause journey.

Nonetheless, one of my favorite things to say out loud is: "As I get older, I get healthier, wealthier, and hotter."

💃🏾🙌💖

My brand of feminism is steeped in love for our flawed yet perfect humanity and all things related to being and identifying as a woman. I refuse to brandish my feminism as a "better than thou" moral calculator. Call me a heretic, but I don't think you can do it wrong.

I believe "impostor syndrome" is a bad hypnotic trance perpetuated by a sexist society that conditions women to habitually apologize for our mere existence.

That's why in my coaching practice, I mix a potent blend of tactical strategy for negotiating your career growth PLUS tools to change your brain state, so you can have your power back where it really matters.

BTW, when I say "change your brain state," I am NOT referring to repeating empty affirmations and cute mantras in curly font.

Instead, I teach evidence-based techniques my clients learn to use on their own, in between sessions, to shift from feeling overwhelmed to focused. From erratic, anxious high beta brainwaves to steady, creative alpha frequency.

🌊

Here's what this means:

  • You will STOP procrastinating on sending that email to James, the department head, and START composing it, while feeling good as you vividly imagine yourself sitting tall, breathing deep, and looking good at the end of a future conference call.

  • You will STOP second-guessing that passing, non-consequential comment from the SVP ("Wow, you're pretty good at this!") and making it mean you don't belong in the leadership suite.

  • You will START reaching out, engaging stakeholders, and making connections that end up delighting you with unexpected growth opportunities...yes, even if you've hated office politics.

From there, you get supported to build a point-by-point, and often word-by-word strategy to make confident requests that open doors and get you moving past pushback.

My clients often tell me the unanticipated yet pleasant side effect of doing this work is receving PRAISE from their supervisors for how well they've advocated for their career advancement.

Here's something fun to consider:

If you want to talk to your employer about using your professional development or learning and development funds to work with me, you can access the spiffy 2-pager I prepared in corporate-friendly speak with all the nuts and bolts spelled out. It's right below.

P.S. And here's yours truly entranced by the work of updating my website while sporting fun and colorful socks no one gets to see on a Zoom session.

P.P.S. If you'd rather talk to me 1:1 first before talking to your employer about coaching -- because let's face it, you're the CEO and owner of your career and you want to get coached on your own terms -- I got ya. Book your free consultation today by clicking RIGHT OVER HERE.
