Is your boss a bully? Do this 2 min EFT for stress reduction [VIDEO]
As an executive coach, I help smart women who hate office politics get promoted and better paid without throwing anyone under the bus.
And let’s face it, sometimes that stress you have at work is not because you’re dealing with garden-variety office politics; it’s because you’re working for a bully.
Some of these bullies are just plain jerks and a-holes.
If you work for such a person, my heart goes out to you, and I invite you to try this simple and powerful technique for stress reduction called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
Numerous clinical research has shown EFT to be an effective and evidence-based practice for treating anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
If EFT can help war veterans with PTSD, it can help you reduce your stress dealing with a bully at work.
So watch this 2 minute demo and give it a try.

[TRANSCRIPT STARTS]
You’re going to start by tapping the very top of your head with the tips of your three fingers. And just repeat after me: Even though I work with an a-hole, who is a total jerk, I completely accept and honor myself just as I am.
And now you're going to tap right here, the third eye between your two eyebrows. And again, repeat after me: Even though I feel frustrated, bothered angry about what had happened at work, I choose to be kind to myself.
And now you’re going to tap the side of your eye. Again, repeat after me: Even though I’m very frustrated with the hot pieces of trash I have to work with, I choose to be kind to myself.
And now tap underneath your eye where you can feel that bone. And again: Even though I feel angry, stressed, frustrated, and resentful, I acknowledge I am human, and I allow myself to feel what I feel.
And now you’re going to take your fingertips and you’re going to tap where you can feel your breastbone and again, repeat after me: I release and I let this go.
And now you’re going to grab your wrist and inhale. Exhale twice as long and say: I release and let this go.
So try it one more time.
You’re going to tap here (points to top of head).
You’re going to tap your third eye.
You’re going to tap your side of the eye.
You’re going to tap right here underneath your eye.
You’re going to tap where you can feel that breastbone.
Then you’re going to grab your wrist, inhale, and exhale twice as long.
And if you want the super speedy version, you’re going to do this (points to top of head), this (points to the space between the eyebrows), this (points to side of the eye), this (points to underneath the eye), this (points to breastbone), and this (grabs one wrist), as you simply repeat:
I release and let this go.
Try it out. See how you feel at the end of it. And if you’re not feeling a shift, try one more time. Do the whole thing all over again, or use the words that feel right for you.
